SWITZERLAND

Despite living in Geneva for several years I haven't played too many courses in Switzerland. The number one for some years has been the Golf Club du Domaine Imperial. It is a bit of an indictment on the country's services to golf course architecture that this stands at the number one because it really isn't really anything that special. Golg club Crans-sur-Sierre will be better known but the course is flattered by the views around it.

Having said all that there are several fairly good tracks just over the border in France - Evian and Maison Blanche are both fine - and further afield Lyon is well worth a trip. The nightlife and general ambiance is really very good and so a golf trip to France/Switzerland is one that few make but worth a thought.
